My very first modeling -plus uv mapping- trial without any tutorial. God, it was painful. I used a random radio image from net as a reference. UV mapping took a lot longer than modeling since I had no experience with uvs. I started over few times till I get this. Even though model isn't complicated, it was a little challenging for me.
I modeled this to use in a game map. So it's not very detailed. It has 1.2k~ polys/1.4k~ verts. You can download it!
In the rar file you'll find, diffuse, diffuse+ao, normal, specular, selfillum textures. There are also exported versions of the model. They are in 3ds and obj format. Oh and there's a studio scene.
This is your first model ever? Bloody hell, it's a damn good job for someone who is just starting in modeling. You've definitely done a way better job than some people I know that have done modeling for 2 years. You will no doubt excel in game development.
Technically it's not. I made few before this but I followed tutorials. It's my first for unwraping uvw. With no experience and tutorial it's kinda hard to model. You don't know where to start. This was a practice for me. To see if I can manage without a tutorial
